Beginning of June

What to wear- crisis ! ...my hair not done (on left)... and only one more hour left! /Vaatekriisin poikanen... tukka koskemattomana (vasemmalla) ja vaan tunti lähtöön!

Hello you guys! Here I am sitting at the balcony, smiling, enjoying the summer and the life itself. It's raining now and the raindrops are falling against the balcony windows. My stomach is filled with mama's and daddy's food, a cup of hot chocolate is steaming in my hand and I'm wearing my new flower dress. The moist is already turning into a summery fog. Beautiful!

This summer started as usually with the prize day. This year our cousin Robert had his graduation party. We celebrated with them till the evening and continued our night with the other bunch of cousins. We didn't stay for long because all had to either go to work or travel the next morning. Bed just ended up sounding like more tempting thing...

Hei vain taas! Täällä istutaan onnellisesti parvekkeella, nautitaan kesästä ja elämästä. Nyt sataa ropisee parvekelaseja vasten, vatsa on täynnä maman ja isin herkkuruokia, kourassa on kuppi kaakaota ja päällä uusi kukkamekko. Kosteus alkaa jo muuttua kesäillan sumuksi tuolla. Kaunista! 

Kesä korkattiin käyntiin perinteisillä kevätjuhlilla. Tällä kertaa vuorossa oli oman serkun Robertin lakkiaiset. Mukavaa oli pitkälle iltaan, ennen kun tultiin kotia pyörähtämään ja siirryttiin siitä toisella serkkuporukalla Mikkelin yöhön. Kauan ei tälläset vanhukset siellä jaksaneet viihtyä, vaan sänky ja yöpala tuntui houkuttelevammalle vaihtoehdolle. 

I have been working for this whole week and I never felt tired or bored there. Working at the university has really been so nice and I'am really happy to call that bunch my co-workers. They really give me one more reason to hop on my bike and pedal it for 3,5 kilometers every morning in one direction! Actually this whole spring and summer have been amazing. I have been so happy and felt like the only thing I have been doing is enjoying myself- not complaining at all! I love to sleep, hanging out at the beach, riding a bike, photographing, shopping, having a cup of coffee or a picnic at the park, chilling with dogs, reading a scientific papers, swimming, preparing surprises, cooking and eating, traveling... I just feel passionate about everything!

Tein tämän viikon töitä, eikä tuntunut hetkeäkään sille, että se touhu olisi väsyttänyt. Työskentely yliopistolla on ollut todella mukavaa, työporukka koostuu ihan mahtavista persoonista mikä vaan lisää sitä intoa lähteä polkemaan aamuisin sitä 3,5 kilometriä per suunta! Ollut ihan mieletöntä tää koko kevät ja kesä. Niin iloinen mieli ja tuntuu, että kaikesta osaa vain ja ainoastaan nauttia- ei valittaa! Nukkuminen on ihanaa, rannalla löhöily, pyöräily, valokuvaus, shoppailu, kahvilla käynti, puistopiknikit, koirien rapsuttelu, tieteellisten artikkelien lukeminen, uiminen, yllätysten väsäily, kokkailu ja maistelu, lenkkeily, matkustelu... kaikki tuntuu hyvälle! 

Even this moment- me and my cup of the good hot stuff at this balcony is The Thing for me. It's time to say good night, I'm already lulling myself to sleep under this blanket and in the warmth of summer night...

Tää hetki, kaakaon kanssa parvekkeella on jotakin mistä nautin suunnattomasti heti kun vaan suomen kelit sen sallii. Hyvää yötä, täällä tuudittaudutaan jo hiljalleen uneen viltin ja kesäillan lämmössä...

Sabina's Graduation Party

And so did the day come. The day when the youngest of our family got graduated from the high school and got the white hat. That day started traditionally by graduation ceremony at the beautiful Mikaeli concert- and congress house. It was such a nice feeling when we watched that occasion that was so special to us once too. The amount of excitement, waiting and joy was able to be sensed all around us. The headmaster kept his speech and as usual it was too long and the theme was inappropriate for the occasion and that prolonged the occasion to the point where we were almost late from the graduation party that was held in our home. E drove our parents there while H and Sabina were taking photos. After that E came again and the whole family was ready in time before the first guests arrived...

Nyt oli meidän perheen pienimmänkin aika saada valkolakki päähän ja Ylioppilastodistus käteen. Aamu alkoi perinteiseen tapaan lakituksella Mikaelin konsertti- ja kongressitalon upeassa miljöössä. Oli niin ihana seurata katsojan paikalta itsellekkin muutama vuosi takaperin niin tärkeää tapahtumaa. Sen jännityksen, odotuksen ja ilon määrän aisti ympärillä. Tämän jälkeen tulikin hieman isompi kiirus kun rehtori hyvään omaan tapaansa pitkitti ehkä jopa lakkiaisiin kuulumattoman teeman omaavalla puheellaan tilaisuutta. E vei porukat suoraa päätä kotiin, kun taas H jäi kuvaamaan Sabinan kanssa. E ajoi siitä suoraan takaisin hakemaan loputkin tytöt juhlapaikalle eli meidän kotiin. Kuinkas ollakkaan ensimmäiset vieraat saapuivat jo kello 14 eli n. 10min sen jälkeen kun itse juhlakalu oli saatu saman katon alle. Tuli siis ihan pienoinen kiire... 

The evening continued. We had a plenty of food, cakes, champagne and other drinks. It was nice to see so many  friends again and leave the house. First we went to the Helle's terrace and after that to our cousins place where Elvisa, Fiki and two little dogs were already waiting for us. That night was flavored with strawberries and we really wanted to continue it in Vaakuna. After all that dancing with friends it was time to leave and go to our sauna, take the heels off and feel the warmth and smokey atmosphere. That's when our foot rest started and after three long days it ended... Imagine that. I'm just so glad that we were all awake and well rested before noon that morning. It really saved that Sunday :)

Ilta jatkuikin ruokien, niin suolaisten kun makeiden sekä skumpan ja boolin parissa. Oli mukavaa nähdä tuttuja taas pitkästä aikaa ja poistua nuorten kesken Helteen terassille jatkamaan iltaa. Ennen baariin lähtöä poikkesimme myös serkkujen kautta, missä Fiki ja Elvisa ja pikkukoirat meitä jo odottelivatkin. Mansikan makuinen ilta jatkuikin sitten pian Vaakunassa, missä tanssittiin ihan tappiin asti ystävien, siskojen sekä serkun kesken. Lopulta poistuimme korkokenkien kopistelun saattamina taloyhtiön saunan lämpöön ja ihanaan sumuiseen tunnelmaan. Jalkojen lepuuttelu alkoikin virallisesti siitä... ja loppui kolmen päivän lepijakson jälkeen. Kaikki oltiin onneksi ihan virkeinä ja valppaina jo ennen puoltapäivää, eipä mennyt hukkaan sekään sunnuntai :)

Both shirts from H&M, the one that's on me is from GT. I just got to get them... my inner animal is happy when I wear them... :D

Such a beautiful day it is, don't you think? I was at the hairdresser (Mari) this morning at In-diko in Mikkeli. I decided to cut 5 cm's off and do the light layering all over my hair. It was time to rescue my hair and give it a needed kick for summer. It feels so much better now! After that we went to Rami with my mama, dad and Sabina. We were so hungry that we didn't even want to go shopping with them :D!

I decided to go running after we arrived home and that feeling... The sun, fresh air, the views and those Nikes... It felt like running on soft pillows or clouds. :) Our day didn't end there because we got this really absurd idea to make cupcakes out of cauliflower, peanut butter, coconut, banana, mango, dark cocoa powder, agave syrup, vanilla, baking powder, egg whites and protein powder... :D Sabina wasn't the biggest fan but to me they taste like heaven O.o! ...and I'm still eating them!

Today we decided to hit the gym together and it was really nice to be there with her! We were killing each others and those two hours passed really quickly by moaning and sweating. When I came back I ate 10 muffins and my protein smoothie... It was a good morning! I hope I can walk tomorrow... :)

PS. I can't stop listening to the Imagine Dragons and their songs... This is one of my favorites! :)
